Today, 10th of September, we have release the 2020.09.1 version. The latest version is marked as Stable and can be used for production environments.

In the latest release we have completed the migration of staff panel from AngularJS to Angular. Besides that we have added more features to cluster and cluster templates, added performance tweaks and logs for process clients cron, fixed bugs and we continued working on preparing Fleio for Docker.

Angular staff

In the past few releases we have worked on migrating the old AngularJS Staff panel to Angular. We are happy to announce that the migration is now complete and the staff panel has all the features available on Angular.+

In the next release we will focus on tweaking it to make the frontend more similar with the old one. If you feel that something could be improved do not hesitate to let us know!

Improvements on cluster and cluster templates

In 2020.09 release we have worked on adding new features clusters and cluster templates.

The new features that were added for cluster and clusters templates are configurable default image and compatible images for cluster templates, configurable default network driver, and configurable coe list.

Besides that we have added a way to assign flavors to certain cluster templates.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image.png

Also we have added a way to retrieve the configuration file for deployed clusters.

Performance tweaks and logs for process clients cron

In previous releases we have worked on improving the process clients cron.

In 2020.09 release we have improved the performance by doing some tweaks to cache. We have also added a way to save the output of each process clients cron to a file.

This is configurable in the settings.py file by following this guide.

We will continue working on improving the performance for process clients in the next releases.

Worth mentioning bug fixes:

  • Fix #3297: Fix instance metric graphs sometime go below 0
  • Fix #3448: Clear cached settings when saving openstack configuration
  • Fix #3409: Handle 500 error raised when getting create options for a client without openstack project
  • Fix #3434: Fix flavor becoming dissociated with instance after edit
  • Fix #3470: Make client confirm delete dialog ask if all resources should be deleted
