Fleio 2022.02.1 stable was released today, 16th of February, 2022.

The latest version is marked as stable and can be used in production environment. You can read more about our release model here.

Notifications system improvements

In the 2022.02 release we worked on adding a new feature to the notifications system: Top line notification in enduser panel.

In order to use this feature, you will have to head over to the Mass Message (previously known a Mass email) page, located under the Clients & User menu and click on the Message filtered clients in the bottom right corner button.

As you can see in the picture from above, there are now three separate options available:

  1. Send mass email and panel notification message
  2. Send panel notification message
  3. Send mass email

On top of that, if you want to have the top line notification be enabled with the notification, you will have to check the Show top line notification in enduser panel option.

By enabling that option, you will also have the possibility to configure the appearance of the top line notification, (e.g the top line background color, the top line text color and the show until <date and hour>)

The top line notification will be hidden when the enduser will read the notification, or when the show until date and hour is passed.

Hypervisors list and details

With the latest release we also added a new feature in Fleio, which will allow staff users to directly see the hypervisor’s list and details.

The hypervisors are automatically synced trough a new celerybeat task, every 60 minutes.

Note that the hypervisors cannot be updated from Fleio (e.g. actions like disable/enable hypervisor).

Retry option for failed operations

In the 2022.02 release we also added a new option on some operations (such as create instance) which will allow you to retry the failed operations.

Alpha release for Kubernetes and JuJu deployment

As you might be aware of, in the last release blog posts (for 2022.01 version), we announced that we are working on having Fleio deployed in a High Availability setup.

With the 2022.02 release we are proud to let you know that Fleio can now be installed via Kubernetes or Juju.

If you want to install Fleio with Kubernetes or with JuJu, please follow our documentation.

This is still an early alpha release, so things might not work properly / out of the box. If you’re encountering issues with Fleio after installing it with Kubernetes or Juju, please let us know and we will assist you.

Keep in mind that in order to upgrade Fleio to the latest version you need to follow this guide.
