Fleio 2021.09.0 is now available in beta and you can test it in your lab environment since this is not recommended for production.

You can read more about our release model here.

Default DNS records

In 2021.09.0 release we have improved the DNS zones feature by adding a few default DNS records, such as:

  • A record
  • NS record(s)
  • mail.domain.tld CNAME to domain.tld
  • www.domain.tld CNAME to domain.tld
  • ftp.domain.tld CNAME to domain.tld
  • MX record
  • SPF record

Previously, when you added a DNS zone, you only had the NS and SOA records, so a DNS zone needed additional configurations in order to make it functionally.

With the new default records, the DNS zone should be fully functional right from beginning.

Allow clients to move images between regions

With 2021.09.0 release you will be able to move images and snapshots between region. You will also be able to clone the image to the same region.

PTR for floating IPs

In the latest release we have also implemented reverse DNS configuration for floating IPs. Before 2021.09.1, the reverse DNS configuration was available only for the IPs assigned to the instances.

In order to configure the PTR record for a floating IP you need to head over to the Floating IPs menu. On each Floating IP you will now have a new option called “Set PTR”.

Notifications improvements

In 2021.09.0 release we also improved the toast notifications and the email notifications.

For toast notifications we have added a new option on each toast notification (that is related to a operation) which will allow you to see the details about the related operation.

Clicking on the “See details” option will redirect you to the running operation.

On the email notifications, we have added a new notification for cases where the ticket is re-opened.

We’ll talk about some of the other features in the stable release, 2021.09.1, which should be out in about one week.

In the meanwhile, see a complete list of changes in the https://fleio.com/docs/changelog/v2021.09.0.html.
