OpenStack Victoria support

As we have also mentioned in our beta release blog post, we have added Victoria on the list of the supported OpenStack versions. Soon we should also be able to confirm that Fleio works as expected on Wallaby too.

OpenStack quota management support

In the latest release we have added support for quota management. In order to change the quota limits for the desired project you need to access the Cloud menu / Projects.

On the selected project you should now find a new button “Edit project quotas”.

The quotas can be configured on a region basis, for compute, volume and networks limits. The “-1” value is also configurable, if you want to set unlimited quotas.

Display estimated price on resource create

In 2021.05 release we have also implemented a highly requested feature: display the estimated price on resource create forms. At the moment the prices will be available for the following forms:

  • instance create, instance resize, instance snapshot and instance backup
  • image create
  • volume create, volumes backup and volumes snapshot
  • floating IPs create

Estimated price will be shown like in the following example:

Please note that these are estimated prices because in some cases there are additional costs that cannot be calculated (for example instance traffic).

Retiring system package deployment

We would also like to remind you that we’re retiring system package deployment (2021.05 will be the last release that includes deb/rpm system package).

If you didn’t read our blog post where we have detailed why we are retiring the packages, please check the Retiring system package deployment blog post.

You can read more about this decision here.

As a reminder, when upgrading Fleio, we recommend you to use the safe upgrade procedure.
