Fleio version 2021.03.0 is now available in beta and you can test it in your lab environment, since this release is not recommended for production.

You can read more about our release model here.

Heat support

In the latest release we have implemented support for Heat Openstack project.

Now you will be able to deploy your own Heat stacks, using File / Direct Input or URL upload for the template data.

You will also be able to change the template, suspend/resume or delete the stack.

Besides this, you will also be able to preview the heat resource types and heat template versions.

Note that the heat support was implemented only for the end user and it’s available only on the new enduser angular panel.

In order to activate the enduser angular panel, please check our documentation.

User confirmation using credit card

With 2021.03.0 release we have also added a new way on how a new user can be confirmed. On sign up, the new users will have to add a valid credit card in order to be able to use the cloud services.

This feature is not enabled by default and can be activated by accessing Settings -> Configurations -> Billing tab. It also includes the following configurable options:

  • Charge amount on sign-up
  • Sign-up charge amount action

Since we’re talking about the user sign up process, we would also like to let you know that we have added reCaptcha verification on the end user sign up page.

This also needs to be enabled from General -> Sign Up:

Note that both features will work only with the new enduser panel (Angular), and if you enable them will break the end user registration on the AngularJS panel (old panel).

In order to replace the AngularJS with Angular panel, please follow our documentation.

Reseller in docker deployment

With the latest release, we have also added the Reseller panel to Fleio when deployed with Docker.

If you want to enable the Reseller feature, please see our documentation.

We would also like to remind you that we’re retiring system package deployment in a few months.

If you didn’t read our blog post where we have detailed why and when are we going to retire the packages, please check the Retiring system package deployment blog post.

We’ll talk about some of the other features in the stable release, 2021.03.1, which should be out in about one week.

In the meanwhile, see a complete list of changes in the https://fleio.com/docs/changelog/v2021.03.0.html.

User confirmation using credit card, reCaptcha on sign up and import domains from CSV features were sponsored by Idea DC Corp.

Heat integration is sponsored by Binero, a Swedish cloud provider and an important OpenStack contributor.

Sponsored development is a good way to have your desired feature quicker in Fleio for a one-time payment. We accept sponsored features that make sense for a broad audience. We take over the sponsored feature providing future updates and support.
